Begin roadway excavation.
The contractor will be transitioning to the roadway
reconstruction phase of the project. This work will include removing the
remaining concrete pavement, excavating the existing base materials until a
stable base is established, installing new base materials, concrete curb &
gutter on both sides of the street, and new asphalt pavement. The roadway
excavation will be broken up into sections to minimize the inconvenience to
residents to the greatest extent possible. However, the roadway will be
impassible in the areas they are working during the day, with access to
driveways and roadway restored at the end of each day. The time it will take to
perform this work will largely depend on the amount of excavation needed to get
to a stable base material. Additional information will be provided to residents
during the roadway reconstruction phase.
