Phase I Curb and Gutter and Paving On-Going.

Work Performed:

·         Roadway excavation and new base course installation within cul-de-sacs

·         Roadway excavation and new base course installation along Crestwood Drive from Sussex Lane to Landwehr Road

·         Concrete curb & gutter installation within west and center cul-de-sacs

·         Concrete curb & gutter installation along Crestwood Drive from Carousel Drive (West) to Landwehr Road

Work Anticipated to be performed, July 30^th to August 3^rd  

·         Roadway excavation and installation of new base course along Crestwood Drive from Sussex Lane to Pfingsten Road

·         Work along Crestwood Drive from Carousel Drive (West) to Landwehr Road

o   Complete concrete curb & gutter installation

o   Replace concrete driveways

o   Replace concrete sidewalks, as planned

o   Fine grade roadway in preparation for asphalt paving

o   Adjust structures within curb & gutter

o   Pave 1^st Layers of asphalt pavement (scheduled for early the week of August 6^th)

The roadway reconstruction phase is in full swing and working on the first of three phases for the concrete curb & gutter / asphalt paving operations. During this phase, resident with new concrete curb & gutter will be without driveways access until Tuesday, August 7^th if all goes as planned and weather allows for construction operations. We understand this is a huge inconvenience to each of the residents without driveways access; therefore, we are doing everything possible to minimize it to the greatest extent possible. Driveway access is for an extended period of time to allow for all the work to be completed at one time in lieu of staggered driveways restrictions several times over the next few weeks. Once access is restored, a majority of the roadway work in front of your home will be completed, including the first layers of asphalt binder which will significantly reduce the amount of dust and provide for a smooth driving surface. 

Once the work in Phase I is completed, the next phase of concrete curb & gutter / asphalt paving will begin. That section will be from Carousel Drive (West) to 3924 / 3921 Crestwood Drive. Again these residents will be out of their driveways for approximately 1.5 weeks. Residents will be notified of the exact dates for driveway restrictions as the schedule is finalized.

Roadway Excavation On-Going

Work Performed:

·         Completed storm sewer replacements

·         Completed sanitary sewer service replacements

·         Started roadway excavation and installation of new aggregate base materials within the cul-de-sacs

Work Anticipated to be performed, July 23^rd to July 27^th   

·         Complete roadway excavation and installation of new aggregate base materials within cul-de-sac

·         Begin roadway excavation and installation of new aggregate base materials along Crestwood Drive

·         Pour concrete  curb & gutter within cul-de-sacs.

As roadway excavation along Crestwood Drive begins, the roadway will be impassible in the areas they are working during the day, with access to driveways and roadway restored at the end of each day. The time it will take to perform this work will largely depend on the amount of excavation needed to get to a stable base material.  Due to not knowing how long it will take to perform the roadway excavation due to unknown soils under the roadway, we are unable to provide exact dates work will be on-going in front of your home; however, we will attempt to notify you the day prior so you can remove any vehicles from driveways and garages. When traveling along Crestwood Drive, please be patient and travel carefully as a lot of equipment and semis are accessing the site to remove excess spoils and deliver new aggregate materials. We also ask that you access your homes via the neighborhood and side streets when possible.  We understand this is a significant inconvenience, but are committed to doing everything possible to limit delays to the greatest extent possible.

Roadway Reconstruction to Begin

Work Performed:

·         Minimal work completed due to scheduling conflicts and waiting on needed permits to work along Landwehr Road.

·         Resumed performing sanitary sewer service replacements as planned

·         Resumed storm sewer installation within cul-de-sacs

·         Started making storm sewer repairs as previously determined.

Work Anticipated to be performed, July 16^th to July 20^th  

·         Complete storm sewer replacement

·         Begin roadway excavation.

The contractor will be transitioning to the roadway reconstruction phase of the project.  This work will include removing the remaining concrete pavement, excavating the existing base materials until a stable base is established, installing new base materials, concrete curb & gutter on both sides of the street, and new asphalt pavement.  The roadway excavation will be broken up into sections to minimize the inconvenience to residents to the greatest extent possible. However, the roadway will be impassible in the areas they are working during the day, with access to driveways and roadway restored at the end of each day. The time it will take to perform this work will largely depend on the amount of excavation needed to get to a stable base material. Additional information will be provided to residents during the roadway reconstruction phase.
