Water Main Installation Completed. Testing of Water Main On-Going

Work Performed Previously

·         Installed new 8-inch water main from Pfingsten Road to Landwehr Road, including cul-de-sacs

·         Started necessary testing of new water main from Pfingsten Road to Sussex Lane

·         Started storm sewer installation

Work Anticipated to be performed next week, May 29^th to June 1^st

·         Continue with water main testing from Pfingsten Road to Sussex Lane

·         Begin water main testing from Sussex Lane to Landwehr Road

·         Continue with storm sewer installation.

As you are aware, the weather over the past few weeks has not been favorable with the frequent rain events. Construction has been delayed, but everything is being done to keep the project on schedule to the greatest extent possible.

Construction Started. Water Main Installation On-Going

Work Performed This Week, May 7^th to May 11^th

·         Saw-cutting of existing concrete pavement in locations of water main installation.

·         Closed-Circuit televising of existing storm and sanitary sewers

·         Began water main installed near Landwehr Road and working east toward Pfingsten Road

Work Anticipated to be performed next week, May 14^th to May 18^th

·         Continue with water main installation.

As construction has started, there is an increase of construction traffic along the roadway. Please use caution as you driving along the site and backing out of your driveway.  It is anticipated that some settlement will occur over the gravel trenches that were previously excavated.  Please be assured everything will be done to keep those areas as smooth as possible, but please drive slowly.  We are also committed to reducing the amount of dust to the greatest extent possible by utilizing water and street sweeping.
