Underground Work Mostly Completed. No Work On-site week of July 2nd due to Holiday

Work Performed Last Week, June 25th to June 29th
·         Completed water service replacements for entire project
·         Connected new water main to existing water main along side streets
·         Abandoned existing water main along Crestwood Drive
·         Performed sanitary sewer service replacements as needed.
·         General site clean-up

Work Anticipated to be performed next week, July 2nd to July 6th
·         No work anticipated to be performed on-site all week due to July 4th Holiday
·         General site clean-up, as needed.

The underground utility portion of the project is mostly completed at this time. The contractor will have a few sanitary sewer services to complete, minimal storm sewer installation, and one final water main abandonment to complete.

Following the July 4th Holiday, the contractor will be transitioning to the roadway reconstruction phase of the project.  This work will include removing the remaining concrete pavement, excavating the existing base materials until a stable base is established, installing new base materials, concrete curb & gutter on both sides of the street, and new asphalt pavement.  The roadway excavation will be broken up into sections to minimize the inconvenience to residents to the greatest extent possible. However, the roadway will be impassible in the areas they are working during the day, with access to driveways and roadway restored at the end of each day. The time it will take to perform this work will largely depend on the amount of excavation needed to get to a stable base material. Additional information will be provided to residents as the schedule is finalized and provide parking and driveway restrictions.

Thanks again for all your understanding as the project moves into the next phase of construction and the various inconveniences that you will experience.

Have a safe and enjoyable July 4th Holiday.

The contractor will continue water service replacements this week. The contractor is anticipating to complete the water services along Crestwood Drive and begin working in the cul-de-sacs. Water services will be replaced from the new water main to the existing valve and box located in front of each home. During the water service replacement, water to individual homes will be shut-off for approximately 1-2 hours while the transition from the old service to the new service is made. The contractor will notify each resident individually regarding the approximate time and day of the water shut-off prior to turning off the water.

The water service replacements within the cul-de-sacs will be time consuming due to the routing and length of each service.  It will be increasingly difficult to travel through the cul-de-sacs as this work is on-going.  Please be patient while driving through these areas.

Thanks again for all your assistance while you live through construction in your area.
